For The Record: Sticky Fingers – Rolling Stones

Whenever you talk about legendary vinyls, it is impossible not to mention one of the most influential Rock and Roll groups in history. A key factor in the Rolling Stones’ success was their ability to combine blues and rock in their own distinctive style. The best album to describe that sound is Sticky Fingers.

‘Sticky Fingers’ was the first album from the band’s new label: Rolling Stones Records, which became the band’s new home. Released in 1971, this vinyl had an interesting cover that caught everyone’s eye with the help of Andy Warhol.

The provocative and controversial vinyl had a working zipper that added an interactive element that raised eyebrows that allowed viewers to see the models underwear.

Tracks like “Brown Sugar” and “Wild Horse,” show off Mick Jagger’s vocals and Keith Richards signature guitar riffs. It’s a perfect blend of catchy hooks and raw energy. This vinyl is iconic because it has  became an anthem for a generation.

Reaching number one on the billboards in the UK and the US this piece of work reached triple platinum, thus making it THE best Rolling Stones album .
